Porsche supports its customer teams not only with competitive race cars, but also voluntarily with talented young race drivers. Currently, the Porsche works driver squad comprises 11 internationally experienced pilots, who drive in many race series worldwide and furthermore support the advancement of the race cars.
Also with view to the works drivers, Porsche emphasizes on constancy. Porsche nurtures its works drivers and gives them room for improvement and advancement with contracts lasting for several years. The support program consists of assignments for races as well as of driver trainings, fitness tests and partner meetings and events.
To be a Porsche works driver means to have a full-time job. The Porsche pilots participate in up to 25 races a year, among them many endurance races. They very often compete in different race car models. As a Porsche works driver, talent, learning aptitude, speed, stamina, discipline and flexibility are a must. To be able to adapt to fast changing situations is a premise for these professional top athletes.
